Are You Blessed? Would you say that you are blessed? How would you describe your blessedness? Is it just about health, wealth, and happiness? Many tie blessings to comfort, whether as a raise, a healed body, or a new home. Do I call myself blessed only when I am feeling good? Or do I recognize God blessing me even when I am in my darkest hour? If you were to turn to scripture, you would find that blessings may be both temporal as well as spiritual. God blessed the children of Israel with temporal blessings by supplying them everything they needed to live during the forty years of wilderness wandering. Other times, the blessings are not about ease, but presence. Joseph was blessed in prison. Paul was blessed in chains. Jesus was blessed even on the cross. How were they blessed? They were blessed because God was with them.
