Is Sin Really That Bad?
Do most people no longer take sin very seriously? Do we put little importance on repenting of sin? Is sin really that bad? In the Old Testament, we see several examples of people who were put to death for sinning against God. Plus, God even commanded for some people to be put to death. Some sins that resulted in death were murder, idolatry, blasphemy, and various sexual sins. One way people were put to death that we would consider cruel and unusual punishment was stoning. It was such a horrific way for one to die. Why did God command people to be stoned?
