Why Study The Book Of Numbers? If you are participating in our Daily Bible Reading program, we will be reading the book of Numbers for a little over three weeks. Why read the book of Numbers? It is just about numbering the children of Israel, right? Yes, the book contains the numbering of God’s people twice; but it contains much more than that. The Jews designate the book by the title, “In The Wilderness.” Thus, the book of Numbers is concerned with the wilderness period of Israel’s history.
