The Origin of Christmas
We are quickly approaching the Christmas holidays! Have you noticed that people seem to be a lot happier around this time of year? I saw a t-shirt this week that said, “Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.” That phrase is actually from the Bible. When an angel appeared to the shepherds in the field announcing the birth of Jesus, “Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, Goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2.13, 14, NKJV)
