All Alone
Do you know what it is like to be all alone? Ever experienced a time in your life where you felt like no one loved you? Depression set in and pulled you deeper and deeper? There are times in our lives that we need to hear someone say, “I love you.” We know God loves us and that He promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13.5). There’s nothing that could ever exceed the tremendous amount of love God has for each of us. But even knowing such, there are times that we need someone to physically reach out to us. Having just spent six weeks in the recliner recovering from neck surgery, cabin fever became a problem. It seemed as if I lost all track of time. Several days I would have to ask, “What day is it?” It certainly opened my eyes to what it must feel like to be a “shut-in” and all alone.
