Confident About Tomorrow
Have you ever felt insecure about your future? Maybe wondering how you will survive financially as you grow older? Possibly your health is failing, and you are uncertain about how you will maintain your “joy of living?” I have always experienced a great peace within because I know God will take care of me. David had confidence that God would always take care of him. David said, “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread” (Psalm 37.25). David had observed from looking back over his life that he had never seen people who walked righteously before God being in need of the necessities of living. God had always taken care of those who trusted in Him. A faithful Christian, who walks in the truth of God’s Word, finds his happiness in his living for God. His life is strengthened by God, who helps him even through times of severe adversity. A godly person knows that God looks upon him with favor; and this realization brings him inner joy, pleasure, and peace.
