Satan Always Comes Around
Has Satan approached you lately? Maybe you didn’t recognize him. The apostle Paul said that Satan can disguise himself as “an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11.14). In Adam Clarke’s commentary on 2 Corinthians, he states, “It is generally said that Satan has three forms under which he tempts men: 1. The subtle serpent. 2. The roaring lion. 3. The angel of light.” We are always on the lookout for the roaring lion; but, what about the subtle serpent that beguiled Eve or the angel of light that deceives many in their faith. Satan even had the audacity to tempt the Son of God. After failing in his attempt, the scriptures say, “And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time” (Luke 4.13). That is, Satan continually comes around.
