Inhibiting The Spirit
One of the tremendous blessings we receive when we become children of God is the indwelling Holy Spirit. The scriptures teach that at the point of baptism, one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2.38; 5.32). The Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and takes up residence within us. Do you remember Paul saying that “your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?” (I Corinthians 6.19). The Holy Spirit leads us, strengthens us, sanctifies us, seals us, etc. (Romans 8.14; Ephesians 3.16; I Peter 1.2; Ephesians 1.13, 14). The Holy Spirit works within us and through us.
